The Honorable Don Steinberg
President
World Learning
Kipling Road
Brattleboro, VT

Dear Don:

I want to congratulate you and all of your guests in Brattleboro on the 50th anniversary of the School for International Training, one of Vermont’s important contributions to the international community.

As the world grows increasingly complex and inter-connected, we need educated and engaged global citizens with an understanding of inter-cultural differences and similarities. For five decades, SIT has prepared generations of students to build peace prosperity and justice through its unique experiential programs, study abroad opportunities, and graduate work. Thank you and your team in Vermont, Washington, DC, across the country and around the world for decades of dedication to these noble principles.

I add special congratulations to Beatriz and Alvino Fantini for their lifetime of service to experiential learning and social justice.

My best wishes to SIT on this day and in the years ahead.

Sincerely,

Patrick Leahy
United States Senator
